Merced J. Garcia, 69, of Yuba City, passed away February 24, 2017. Born September 25, 1947 in Drisco, Texas, he was a farm laborer and a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 62 years. Merced is survived by his wife Lupe Garcia; daughter Corina Torres and sons Joaquin Garcia and Mercey Garcia, all of Yuba City; 6 grandchildren, Karina, Ramon, Cecilia, Sonia, Guinaiya and Noah and 4 great-grandchildren, Eli, Ramon (Zito), Santana and Cruz. He was preceded in death by his father Agapito Garcia, mother Angelina Garcia, sister Juanita Garcia and brother Agapito Garcia Jr. He was a loving, generous person that loved being a father but even more, loved being a grandfather. Services will be March 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Sutter Cemetery.
