Angel was a beloved husband, father, brother, nephew and uncle. He enjoyed fishing and he was an avid fan of baseball, football and car racing. He enjoyed gardening and reading about cars and Western fiction. In the early 1990s, he was a member of the Iron Horseman baseball team of Salinas.He was also a life-long member of the National Street Machine Club. He attended Soledad Elementary School, Gonzales High School and Hartnell College before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Europe and served as a Medic. At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
