Annie Cruse
July 22nd, 1933 - May 20th, 2011
Reverend Annie Louvenia Cruse, 77, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011. Rev. Cruse's life ended abruptly. Rev. Cruse was born on July 22, 1933, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was one of seven siblings to Jerome Coleman and Ella Moss. She married Orland Cruse in 1958 and had four children. They made their home in Salinas. She worked as an LVN for over 30 years, throughout the Monterey County. She is preceded in death by her parents, and other family members. She served in the community and was a former co-pastor at St. James CME. She is survived by her husband, Orland Cruse, Sr.; sons, Randy Cruse and Orland "Jay" Cruse, Jr.; daughters, Sequetta Cruse Phillips, and Tessa Cruse Jelks; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and many family members. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 1-9pm at the Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, May 26, 2011 11am at St. James CME 285 Calle Cebu Salinas, CA 93901. Final Resting Place at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907. Entombment to take place.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
