Jose was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed BBQing and building BBQ pits. Jose was very supportive of the family in all their endeavors, and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. He is survived by Wife Inez Hernandez of the Family Home Daughter Veronica and Randy Raines of Monterey Sons Steven Hernandez of San Diego Jose and Janet Hernandez of Soledad Grandsons Julian and Joel Hernandez of Soledad Cousin Teresa Adame of Gonzales Numerous Nieces & Nephews also survive. Preceded in death by Aunt Consuelo Gonzales and Uncle Martin Gonzales

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
