Gustavo Quintero, 44, of Salinas, passed away unexepectedly on September 25, 2011 in Salinas. He was born on September 21, 1967 in Ameca, Jalisco, Mexico. Gustavo loved art and especially enjoyed displaying his art work. He was currently attending an art class at Hartnell College. He previously worked as a fork lift driver in produce for over 20 years. He is survived by his daughters, Cristina and Monica Quintero both of Salinas son, Julian Pablo Quintero of Salinas grandchildren, Isaiah Gonzalez, Jocelyn Perez and Noah Isaac Perez; parents, Salvador and Consuelo Quintero of Salinas; sister, Yolanda Cornejo of Salinas brothers, Arturo Quintero of Salinas, Salvador Quintero, Jr. of Sparks, NV Jorge Quintero of Rio Rico, AZ numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives also survive. A Visitation will be held on Today, Thursday, September 29, 2011 1-9pm with a Rosary Recital 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. A Funeral Mass will take place on Fridary, September 30, 2011 1pm at St. Mary of the Nativity Church 424 Towt St. Salinas, CA 93905. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
