Louie J. Medina passed away March 9, 2018, in Yuba City, California. Born September 22, 1953, in Kings City, California, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 60 years. He was a graduate of Yuba City High School class of 1972. Louie was a hair dresser for 43 years and a business owner of the salon Louie Medina's Hair Productions for 41 years. He was an inspiration and local Icon, as he was very involved in the Yuba-Sutter community throughout the decades. Amongst his long list of charitable involvements are; Salvation Army, Alliance for Hispanic Advancement, YCHS Grad Night, Hair Cuts for the homeless, Toys for Tots, Yuba-Sutter pageants, and many more. Louie is survived by his sister, Juanita Medina; and brother, Joe R. Medina;, niece, Jessica Fernandez-Mercado; two nephews, Carlos and Marcos Uriostegui; great-niece, Angelica Mercado; and great-nephew, Phillip "Turtle" Mercado. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel located at 817 Almond Street in Yuba City. CA. Inurnment will be private at Sutter Cemetery.
