Rochelle Etchepare
June 12th, 1958 - February 7th, 2014
ROCHELLE (SHELLEY) DAVIS ETCHEPARE- HANSON 6/12/58 - 2/7/14 Resident of Willows, Ca. Shelley was born in Chico, Ca. on June 12th, 1958 at Enloe Hospital. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Feb. 7th, 2014 from complications associated with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Shelley fought ALS for over 18 years and was very determined to see each of her three children graduate from high school, which she was able to accomplish. Shelley graduated from Willows High School in 1976, attended Chico Beauty College in the early 90's, and became a Nail Technician. She worked until she was physically unable to do so anymore. She was always looking at decorating magazines, attending flea markets, shopping for antiques, and would love to help decorate her friends' homes; all you had to do was hint and she was there to help with a color wheel, hammer and nails in hand. Shelley loved Nascar and attended many races with her family where she had pit access and was able to meet many of the drivers. She loved all kinds of music but her favorites were Country and Classic Rock and she attended many concerts with her family over the years. Shelley never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion, and she made sure she acknowledged them with a gift, a card, or flowers. Shelley is survived by her husband and best friend Eric Hanson; her three cherished children, Britton Etchepare, Brent Etchepare, and Garet Hanson. Her mother Carolyn Davis, sister Tori Davis Perez (Rick), sister-in-law Donna Tompkins Davis, niece Haley Davis Taylor (Zach), nephews Tyler Davis and Zach Perez. Shelley was predeceased by her father Larry Davis and her brother Jeff Davis. A celebration of life will be held at 12 PM Wednesday February 12th at St. Monica's Parish Hall located on Wood Street Willows, Ca.
