HAROLD DEAN PRESSWOOD JR. Services for Harold Presswood will begin with a visitation at the Brusie Funeral Home on Saturday May 3, 2014 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm followed by a Memorial to be held at the Church of Christ in Chico at 4:30 pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Sacramento Valley National Veterans Cemetery in Dixon, CA in which family and friends are invited to a celebration of life afterwards. Harold was born on April 30, 1970 in San Pablo, CA. He passed away suddenly on April 25, 2014 in Chico, CA at the age of 43. Harold was raised in San Pablo and later in Los Molinos, CA where he graduated from Los Molinos High School then attended Butte College. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1994 and served until 1998. Harold worked for Lucky Stores for 9 yrs, Freeman's Towing for 11 yrs, Oliver's Tow and then as a truck driver. He met and later married Christine (Leal) they were married for 10 ½ yrs and had been together for 16 yrs. They were each other's 'rock'. He and his wife enjoyed spending time together and loved hanging with family and friends, barbequing, listening and loved singing old country music, going to rodeos, and racing. He loved camping, boating and fishing with nephews Allen and Kyle. He was a diehard Raiders and A's fan, enjoyed watching movies and was a huge history buff. He loved their dogs and cats. Harold was preceded in death by a brother Frank Short Madero and sister Darcy Wyman. Harold is survived by his beloved wife Christine, his father Harold Presswood and step-mother Christy, mother Debi Start and step-mother Brenda Bass, sisters Sarah Payne (Ira), Erica Bloxham (Brandon), along with nieces and nephews Allen, Alyssa, Payson, Alison, Halie, Kyle, Ayden and Lily.
