Jesse Huerta, 64. longtime resident of Salinas, passed away after a brief illness. He was born on May 19, 1948 in Mexico. Jesse had proudly served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus in Soledad. Jesse was the local owner and operator of "Jesse's Carpet Cleaning" here in the Salinas valley for over 18 years. He loved playing his guitar and singing in the church choir. He was a huge Beatles fan. Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Graciela "Gracie" Huerta of Salinas his daughter and fiance, Kathy Huerta and Lamon Hutchins sisters, Maria Roman and Estella Quintero brother, Lupe (Ines) Huerta numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends also survive. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 1-9pm with a Rosary recital at 7pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 14, 2012 10am at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Drive Salinas, CA 93906. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
