Samuel Camacho Castillo
March 26th, 1931 - September 28th, 2018
Samuel Camacho Castillo, 87, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on September 28, 2018 in Salinas. He was born on March 26, 1931 in Brawley, CA to Jose and Josefa Castillo. Samuel previously worked in produce as a truck driver for many years. He also was a pastor at an Apostolic church, where he loved preaching the Word of God. Samuel loved playing music on his guitar and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Samuel is survived by, his loving wife, Maria L. Castillo, sons, Samuel Castillo Jr. and James Castillo both of San Jose, Victor M. Castillo, Jose S. Castillo and Juan S. Castillo, daughter, Caroline S. Castillo along with other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905 Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 11am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Cremation to follow services and Inurnment of his ashes will follow at a later date at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
