April 15th, 1969 - February 26th, 2022
Anita Tennis, 52, of Sutter, entered into rest on February 26, 2022. Anita is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Jim Tennis of Sutter; two children, Nicholas Tennis and Jacob Tennis, both of Sutter; mother, Connie Eredia of Sutter; brothers, Steve Eredia (Stephanie) of Yuba City; Sam Eredia (Kathleen) of Sutter; sister, Sally Eredia of Yuba City; brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law, Liesl Schmidt (Darrin); Jennifer Vickstrom (Mark); Cheryl Broyles (Matt); Scott Gruenthal (Susan); Willy Gruenthal; Josh Jamison (Melissa); Jeff Lawley (Jack); Matt Lawley; Andrew Lawley (Jaycie); as well as several nephews and nieces, Jesse Eredia (Sarah); Tyler Eredia (Kara); Logan Eredia; Andrea Eredia; Sydney Eredia; Andrew Schmidt; Ali Schmidt; Jory Monroe (Erika); Kalea Clark (Rodney); Emily Gruenthal; Zach Gruenthal; Grant Broyles; Clint Broyles; Joshua Jamison; Caleb Jamison; and Maddison Lawley. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Eredia. Anita is a 1987 graduate of Sutter Union High School. She earned a Cosmetology Degree from Career College of Cosmetology as well as her Associates Degree from Yuba Community College. Anita loved her family deeply and her greatest joy came from being a wife and mother. She was well respected and active in the Sutter Community, serving in the Brittan Parent Activity Club at Brittan School and as a member of the Native Daughters of Sutter. Anita loved to bowl and bowled in leagues at Nu Generation Lanes for many years. She loved gardening, traveling, community service, bunco, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. She was a beautiful person inside and out and her smile will continue to shine bright. Anita is loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
