David Eugene Lundin
May 30th, 1947 - December 21st, 2015
DAVID LUNDIN David E. Lundin died unexpectedly at his home on December 21, 2015, in Chico, CA. He was 68. He was born at Enloe Hospital on May 30, 1947, to Gene and Claire Lundin. Dave first met his wife Annette D. Duensing in the summer of 1963. The couple married July 29, 1967 in Reno with numerous family and friends in attendance. Dave and Annette built their own home in Chico in 1974, just in time to welcome the first of two daughters, Brandi Ann, followed by Julia Gene in 1976. Dave worked locally at Rainbo Bakery, Durham Pump, and Chico Natural Foods. For 7 years the couple owned Quick Check Market. Dave and Annette took yearly trips to Trinidad on the coast to celebrate their anniversary. Dave enjoyed spending time with lifelong friends Russell and Elaine Stone and also spent a lot of time working on the family property in Toad Town with Ron Chamberlain. He was an avid bicyclist, often riding with good friend Jeff Smith and many others in the local community. Dave often rode and volunteered at the yearly Wildflower Ride held in Butte County. Dave will always be remembered for his amazing musical ability. A master guitarist born with the natural gift to play almost any instrument put in front of him. He and his sister Sue spent a lifetime singing and playing with family and friends. David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Annette, two daughters Julia G Lundin of Chico, and Brandi Payer of Orland, CA. He is also survived by Sue and Bob LaBaw, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Buff Lundin, and grandson Kayden Kc House. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. To David's loved ones December 21, 2015 will always be remembered as the day the music died.
