Michael Andrew Bond

Obituary Michael A. Bond, 45, of Fort Collins died in a mid air collision flying in the back country of Idaho on Monday, July 7. Mike was born August 22, 1968 in Rockford, IL and shortly after moved to Colorado where he grew up and attended South Park High School. After graduating, Mike came to Ft Collins to attend CSU where he majored in Physics. In 1991 Mike fell in love with his future wife Robyn Laird on a trip to Alaska. They were married in 2002 in Telluride. Together they owned AlasCo Investments and Savanna Ridge Equestrian Center. Mike had a passion for flying and encouraged others to learn to fly. He flew volunteer flights for Angel Flight West and Young Eagles. Mike was well known for spirit of generosity and his willingness to help out whenever someone had a need. Survivors include his wife Robyn, brothers Marvin (Monika) Fenyves and Mark (Mercedes) Fenyves, sisters Chris Kilkenny and Debbie (Jeff) Preston. His mother Carrie Fenyves and his dad John Crask preceded him in death. A Celebration of Life has been planned for Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 3 PM at the Savanna Ridge Equestrian Center. Dress will be casual (flip flops are encouraged).
