Lorraine T. Derosier
September 13th, 1931 - December 8th, 2022
Lorraine T. Derosier passed away on December 8, 2022. She was born September 13, 1931, to the late George and Victoria Brissette, in Spencer, Massachusetts. She was married to the late Charles H. Derosier who passed in 1979. She was proceeded in death by her younger brothers George, Ronald, Kenneth, and Richard Brissette. She is survived by her youngest brother, Thomas Brissette, her daughters Cynthia Verrill and Donna Burton and sons William, Michael, and David Derosier as well as thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Lorraine worked as a nurse for thirty years before retiring. She was involved with the American Legion Post 807, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 807, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Cooties. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, and embroidery. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Lorraine was a U.S. Navy Veteran as was her late husband and will be buried with military honors at the Worcester County Memorial Cemetery in Paxton, Massachusetts. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City at 4:00 p.m. Following the service, a "Celebration of Life" will be held at American Legion Post 807, 5477 Feather River Blvd., Olivehurst. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yuba-Sutter Special Olympics, c/o T.J. Fetters, 2285 Stonybrook Dr., Yuba City, CA 95991.
