Glen E. Biggers
September 19th, 1924 - April 10th, 2016
Glen E Biggers, 91 of Chico Ca passed away peacefully on April 10th, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Glen was born on September 19, 1924 in Strawberry Glen, Idaho to parents Alvin and Bessie Biggers, one of 8 children. He was married to Susan Jeffery Biggers on June 29, 1980. Glen was a plumbing contractor throughout the course of his life, owning and operating several businesses such as Biggers Appliances, Biggers Plumbing and Heating, Gridley Plumbing, Biggers Supply in Eureka, Biggers Do It Yourself Center and Biggers Leasing Company. Upon retirement he and his wife owned and developed property in Butte Meadows, known as the Biggers Glen Subdivision, where he built several different homes that he enjoyed sharing with friends and family. Glen was a life member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the founder and president of the Mountain Valley Hunting Club, member and past president of the Mechanical Contractors of Central California and District Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene Children's Church. He was also a member of the Butte Meadows Hillsliders Club, the Elks Club and Henneman Pheasant Club. Glen was an avid outdoorsman-enjoying everything from Elk hunting to Pheasant hunting, snowmobiling and 4 wheeling, boating and driving his 1929 Mercedes Benz replica car that he built. He and his wife enjoyed travelling the world as well as nearly every state in the US. Glen is survived by his wife Susan of 36 years, his sisters Allie Jane DeBoard, Ruth French (John), his children Leroy Biggers (Debbie), Charlotte Johnson (Al) and Cindi Vallejo, his step daughters Corinne Jeffery (John Chase) and Michele Jeffery Bendall (Rob), 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services for Glen will be held at the East Avenue Church 1184 East Ave, Chico on Saturday the 16th of April at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Salvation Army or the Butte Meadows Hillsliders Club in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
