Daniel Lee Driscoll passed away after a long battle with cancer at his home in Durham, CA on Saturday, May 28th, 2016. He was born to the late John and Alice Driscoll on July 17, 1946 in Corning, CA. Dan graduated from Corning High in 1964 and went on to earn his BS degree in Industrial Technology from Chico State in 1972. On August 15, 1970, Dan married Carolyn Davey, his wife of 45 years. Dan worked as a branch manager for Honeywell, beginning his career in San Francisco and then moving to Alaska with Carolyn and their son Brad in the late 1970s. After leaving Honeywell, he worked for Siemens Building Technologies as an estimator until his retirement in 2007. His hobbies included flying, attending air shows with his son, motorcycle riding, cars & car restoration, golfing, welding-fabrication, playing cards, working in his olive orchard & making artisan olive oil for his friends and family and perhaps his favorite pastime of all, "Professional Floating on the Lake." Dan will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, granduncle, brother and friend. His wit, devilish smile, mischievous personality and devotion to those he knew and loved will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, son Brad, daughter-in-law Anne, granddaughter Sandra, sister Mary Robertson, niece Meegan Jessee & her husband Earl, grand-nieces Helen & Clara, sisters and brothers-in-law Sandy & Mike Condon and Wayne and Barbara Davey, in addition to many other beloved family members and friends.
