Healey Mortuary
Felix Cortez Moreno
January 1st, 1961 - December 26th, 2019
Born in Salinas January 1, 1961 and went to be with the lord on December 26, 2019. Felix worked in Construction, mainly with asphalt. His hobbies were fishing, cars and helping others. Felix enjoyed spending time with family and friends. If anyone needed anything, he would give the shirt off his back with no hesitation. When it came to eating, watch out because he enjoyed all foods especially bar-b-cue and Chinese food. He enjoyed watching the Raiders play and for Felix, there was no other team. He especially liked to look and smell good. He was always remembering his family and the good as well as the bad times but made every story positive. There were so many things that made Felix a Godly person in not only giving, but serving. Felix will be missed but the one thing that remains, we will all be with Felix and the rest of our loved ones one day. Felix was preceded in death by: Felix Moreno Sr. (father), Felix Moreno III (son), Gary Moreno (nephew) Felix is survived by: Rachel Cortez (mother), Adriana Sotelo (daughter), Olga Morales and Rosemary Moreno (sisters), Reuben Moreno and Manuel Moreno (brothers), many nieces and nephews, Elida Morales, Abel Morales, Margie Valdez, Gabriel Moreno, Cyrena Moreno, Ireina Alvarez, Vanessa Moreno, Casandra Ortiz and Roberta Ortiz.

We Entrusted Felix Moreno's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
