Obituary Walter was born on January 3 1934 at the family home in Deer Creek IL. He entered eternal life with his Savior, Jesus Christ on January 28 2014 in Tucson AZ following a long illness. On February 4, 2014, his son, The Reverend Geoffrey Glaser officiated his Burial of the Dead Liturgy service at Saint Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church in Green Valley AZ and he was buried at South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson AZ. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E Glaser Sr and Mary B (Lay), brothers. - .Frederick and Robert, sisters - Leah and Carolyn. His early years were spent in Tazewell County in Illinois on the family farm. His family affectionately called him June (short for Junior) since his father was also named Walter. At the age of 22, Walt married his sweetheart, Madeleine Gail Lindquist on December 23 1956 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington IL. His brother, Robert served as Best Man and Madeleine's best friend, Diane Fisher served as Maid of Honor. Shortly after their marriage, Walt served his country with the 126th Transportation Company 5th Army in Karlsruhe Germany from 1957-59 before returning home to Central Illinois. Walt, Madeleine and their sons farmed outside Heyworth IL where they raised hogs, dairy cows and grew corn and soybeans until he was severely injured in a trucking accident. Following a lengthy recovery and permanent injuries, Walt moved his family to Normal IL in 1970 where he was a successful salesman of agriculture and construction equipment. In 1980, the family relocated to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Fort Collins CO. Walter became an entrepreneur and founded G & S Equipment in 1986, selling construction and farming equipment throughout Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. His son, Keith joined the business working with Walter for many years. Following retirement, he and Madeleine moved to the warmth and dry climate of Green Valley AZ in 2004. Walter found his church home at Saint Francis in the Valley Episcopal where he had many dear friends and enjoyed singing in the choir. Walter is survived by his brother Harlen (Alice) from Bellview MO; his beloved wife of 57 years, Madeleine; sons, Gregory Alan (Karen) from Lancaster PA, Bruce William from Fort Collins CO, Keith Douglas (Margo) from Pueblo West CO, Geoffrey Scott (Jeff Commings) from Green Valley and Phoenix AZ, and Darrell James (Kelly) from Baltimore MD. His seven grandchildren are Shaun(Erin), Michael, Derek, Lindsay, Darrell, Luke, and Wolfe.
