Elizabeth A. Victorino Miller
June 16th, 1940 - September 23rd, 2015
Elizabeth (Beth) A. Victorino - Miller of Yuba City passed away on September 23, 2015 with family at her side. She was born on June 16, 1940 in San Luis Obispo, CA to William and Amy Prescott. Growing up she was the oldest of 7 children. She naturally was the one, as she put it, "to help take care of all those babies". This trait would carry on throughout her life. She wanted to take care of everyone. It didn't matter if you were blood related or not. To her everyone was family. She was everyone's Mom, Grandma, or Auntie. She loved with her whole heart even if she wasn't loved back. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice that sounded just like Patsy Cline. All of her siblings remember her as, "Pretty Bethie with the beautiful voice." She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and quilting. It brought her much happiness to make gifts for everyone. She married Tom Victorino on August 17, 1957. They made a home in the Bay Area and started a family. Their first child, a son died shortly after birth. They went on to have 4 more children and moved to Oroville, CA in 1978. They divorced in 1994 and shortly after she relocated to Yuba City. In 2002, she married Benny Miller. After his death in 2010, she put all her energy into her quilting and family. Then in 2014, she and Tom decided after all these years, they would "take care of each other again". They had a year of one another's companionship. It brought her great joy to share their family once again. She is preceded in death by father William, mother Amy, and sisters Winnie, Lena and Jane. She is survived by her companion Tom Victorino of Yuba City, Ca; son Thomas Victorino (Josephine) of the Philippine Islands; daughter Betsy (Flint) Oliver of Oroville, Ca; daughter Amy (Brian) Osborn of Yuba City, Ca; son Vincent Victorino of Oroville, Ca; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Ullrey Memorial Chapel on Monday 9/28 between 4-7:00pm with rosary at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St.Isidores Catholic Church on Tuesday 9/29 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Sutter Cemetery. The family would like to especially thank all of the nurses and physicians at Rideout Hospital that helped ease her suffering and make an unbearable situation much easier. We would also like to thank Fr. Matthew Blank as well as Sally Combo of St. Isidore Catholic Church for visiting and administering the Eucharist while she was ill.
