Norman Eugene Lepker
August 9th, 1933 - October 19th, 2013
Obituary Norman Eugene Lepker, 77, of Fort Collins passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital on Saturday October 19, 2013. Norman was born August 9, 1936 in Phoenix, Arizona to Russell and Opal Lepker. He has degrees for the Life Bible College, Miramar College and South Coast College with degrees in Family counseling and Fire Science. On June 23, 1956 he married Joan Cook in El Cajon, California and they made their home in Los Angeles. In 1958 they relocated to Loveland, Colorado. In 1963 they returned to Lakeside, California where Norman worked for the Lakeside Fire Protection District and also provided pastoral care at the Foursquare Church in El Cajon. Norman and Joan returned to Colorado in 2006 and made their home in Fort Collins near their daughter Karen Bauer. Norman loved to hunt and fish and hunt for "treasurers" everywhere he went. A special treat to him was camping and hiking in the mountains with his grandchildren. He could tell a great joke and had a good sense of humor. Those that knew him felt that they were blessed to have his friendship. Norman is survived by his wife, Joan, daughters Becky (Larry) Lang of Lakeside, California, Karen (Max) Bauer of Fort Collins, sister Judy Love of Cottonwood, Arizona, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jeanne Lepker and Wilma Lepker. A service to celebrate Norman's life will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Timberline Church, East Auditorium, 2908 Timberline Road, Fort Collins, CO. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Serve 6-8" for Big Thompson Flood Victims.
