Calvin Skaggs, age 84, died at Rideout Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born February 8, 1930, to Floyd & Rose in Nash, Oklahoma. On January 31, 1951, he married Millie Radigan. This year, they celebrated 63 years together. Calvin proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. Upon retiring from the Air Force, he worked at Del Pero Meat Company for over 20 years before retiring to spend more time family. Calvin was a member of the Masonic Lodge, SIRS, Yuba- Buttes Camping Club and Country Squares, square dancing club and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife Millie Skaggs, children Randy Skaggs & Kim Duggins of Yuba City, Debi Smith of Oklahoma, grandchildren April Armstrong, Candice Twist and Mike Smith Jr. of Oklahoma and Krystle and Alyssa Duggins of Yuba City and seven great grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Sutter Memorial Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at the Moose Lodge in Yuba City at 11:30 am.
