Gloria Greco
December 28th, 1923 - January 4th, 2017
Gloria Greco Gloria Helen Greco passed away January 4, 2017 at the age of 93. She was born December 28, 1923 to James and Helen (Grissell) McPeak in Detroit, Michigan and the family moved back to Philadelphia shortly after her birth. On October 26, 1940 she married James Joseph Greco and they shared over 59 years together until his passing in 2000. Gloria worked hard all her life always putting her family first. While her husband served in World War II she worked and cared for their two sons, Joseph (Biff) born in 1941 and James born in 1944. Once Joe returned from war, the family moved to Greenville, California where Joe worked in the lumber industry. Gloria worked for the US Postal Service in Greenville for over 30 years. After retirement they moved to Chico in 1985 to be near family. Gloria had a passion for sewing and many babies have been wrapped in a lovingly made blanket. She cherished her family above all else and was always there for them. She continued to keep in close contact with family in the Philadelphia area as well. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband James (Joe), sister Delores and brother James. She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Susan) and James (Cindy), three granddaughters Jill Blevins (Mark), Paige Greco and Mallory Clark, three great grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Blevins and Ryan Clark. Private family burial will be in Greenville at a later date. The family would like to thank those at Roses & Ivy Elder Care for the loving care they provided.
