Robert E. Goehring

Obituary Robert E. Goehring, 75, of Fort Collins died March 24, 2013 at the Pathways Hospice Care Center in Loveland after a long illness. Bob was born October 21, 1937 to Bernard and Genevieve Goehring. He grew up in Ft. Collins and graduated from Ft. Collins High School in 1956, where he was a track star and a football standout. Bob was baptized in the Methodist Church and recently gave his life to God. He married the love of his life, Diana Day, and together they had three daughters. Bob joined the Navy and was a Radioman on the USS Fort Snelling in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic. Returning to Ft. Collins he worked with his father at Goehring Construction and was also a land developer, reclamation specialist and owner of Fort Collins Hydroseed. Survivors include his former wife Diana of Queen Creek, AZ, daughters Cindy Goehring of Queen Creek, AZ and Tracey Silva of Ft. Collins, brother Dick (Cindy) Goehring of Westminster, CO and grandchildren Sydney and JR Silva, both of Ft. Collins. Also surviving him is his loving friend, Leslie Adler. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Holly. A memorial service with military honors will be held at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 4501 S. LeMay Ave., Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 2 PM with a reception from 3 to 6 PM at the American Legion Post #4, 2124 N. Highway 287 in Ft. Collins. At Bob's request, there will be no crying!
