Norman Dwayne Haynes, Jr. was born in Eugene, OR, January 9, 1957, while I was matriculating at the University of Oregon. He died at home in Sutter on August 23, 2014 at about 10:00 PM.Raised mostly in the Sacramento area, he had been living with me in Sutter, CA since Memorial Day, 2000. He worked locally for Sunsweet and Howard dryers for several seasons.He and wife Amanda, lived in Sparks, NV many years and raised three sons there. He worked for many years at Tri-State Surveying in Sparks. He had also worked with Johnston Carnival Show through Northern California for several years. He had suffered many years with liver disease. (ASCITES). He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.Preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Haynes Berthelot, Placerville; grandparents Norman Edwin (Paula) Haynes, Jr. of Sutter and Harold and Hazel Close Cleveland of Sutter; uncle Rolly Haynes of Sutter; and step-mother Grace Kit Yee Haynes of Sacramento.Survived by son, Norman D. (Buddy) Haynes III, granddaughter Hannah Marie Haynes and grandson Mikal Lee Norman Haynes of Reno NV; son Christopher Haynes and son Jacob Haynes of Corning, CA area and estranged wife Amanda of Corning. Sisters Teresa Sherlund, Julie Smith of Yuba City and sister Leslie Haynes Schramm of Spokane, WA; step-sister Francine Lau Berg of So Cal; cousins Toni Fritz and Sabrina Haynes-Ochoa of Sutter; Uncle Russell and Aunt Betty Haynes of Roundup MT; Aunt Darlene Swift Rhodes of Paradise, CA; and me, his father Norman Dwayne Haynes of Sutter, CA.Inurnment at Sutter Cemetery. Donations may be made in his name to the Sutter County Historical Society of Community Memorial Museum. There will be a celebration of life at SYO Park in Sutter on September 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
