LLOYD D. GALLENTINE Lloyd D. Gallentine died peacefully on January 22, 2017 at Enloe Hospital, he was 75 years young. Lloyd retired on January 27, 1965 from the Navy as a Machinist's Mate Petty Officer, then he studied at Chico State College to become a firefighter and retired from the City of Chico Fire Dept. after 27 years of service on July 1994. He then went full time as a harvester working for Weller Ranches, Inc. in the rice fields and retired in 2012. Lloyd is survived by his wife Lori Gallentine, 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew him knew his passion for riding his motorcycle and salmon fishing. He will be deeply missed. Services will be on Friday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Brusie Funeral Home. Reception to follow. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers make a donation to Chico Fire Fighters "Ray Head Fund" @ Station 1.
