Susan Lee Brooks

Susan Lee Brooks, 67, of Nevada City, CA, passed away at home on December 11, 2014. A Nevada City resident for 34 years and Live Oak resident for 33 years born on November 29, 1947 in Gridley, CA. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt.Susan loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, either camping or at her beach house in Fort Bragg. She also loved the many vacations with her sister and her husband. She also loved and enjoyed her dogs, from Sandy to Molly.Survivors include her husband of 47 married years, Larry K. Brooks; daughters, Lisa M. Anderson of Cool, CA and Michele R. Lopez of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Kayla Anderson, 20, Nathan Anderson, 16 and Adriana Lopez, 10; stepgrandchildren, Joseph Lopez and Anthony Lopez; sister, Nelda L. Riggs of Yuba City; son-in-laws, Cole Anderson and Chris Lopez; and brother-in-law, Frank Riggs.She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Opal Davis of Live Oak and Nevada City.Service will be graveside at Sutter Cemetery at 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2014. Ullrey Memorial Chapel of Yuba City will handle the service.In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of the Foothills in Grass Valley, CA would be appreciated.
