Jesus Esparza Jr. aka “Chuy”passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 51. Chuy was born on March 9, 1969 to Jesus Esparza Sr. and Dolores Castellanos and was raised in Salinas, Ca. He graduated in the class of ’88 from North Salinas High School. Chuy worked at the CTF prison in Soledad as a Lt. Correctional Officer for over 20 years. He loved spending time with his family, coaching Football/Basketball, loved watching his Cowboys play and last but not least he loved reminiscing him time in high school with his friends. Chuy is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Dennise Esparza, his son, Logan, his daughters, Alyssa and Lexxy, his brothers and sisters, Leticia, Sergio, Armida, Cesar, Sandra, and Laura, along with 18 nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 22nd beginning at 10am at Madonna Del Sasso Catholic Church followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area.
