McCormick McClellan
January 14th, 2021
McCormick McClellan, 24, of Prunedale, California unexpectedly passed on January 14th, 2021. He is survived by his parents, Andrew McClellan and Rebecca Castro McClellan, his sister McKinnley(Ryan) Ballou, his brother Ronald(Ally) Rodriguez and his Aunt Grace(Uncle Dale) Self, and many more of his loving family. McCormick was a superhero. He obsessed over the Marvel Universe (knowing all the characters as well as their movies word for word) but he was a real superhero to his family and friends. For his loved ones, McCormick was always there for them when they needed him and especially when they didn’t. He was a gentle soul, although he loved few, he loved hard, and cared deeply. He meant the world to his younger sister, who looked up to him and knew she could always count on him for anything. He was the greatest Uncle, bringing fun and joy to the lives of his 4 younger nieces when he played and spent time with them. He was truly the best friend anyone could ask for. McCormick was a devoted son, always taking time to sit and spend time with his father. In his Mother’s eyes, he was bigger than the ever-expanding Marvel Universe. He loved to cook, fish, and play disc golf with his cousins. He was a seasoned tv binge-watcher, knowing all the words to The Office, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dragon Ball Z, and many more. He will always be the “treats master” to his dog Boo, who looked forward to her daily treat at the same time every night. McCormick most definitely was a big pain in everyone’s butt, especially with his sarcasm and joking but he loved immensely and will truly be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Due to COVID-19, the family has decided not to have a service, but a small gathering of immediate family and friends. They appreciate the understanding and support in this very difficult decision due to the times. Please hold McCormick close in your hearts. Share stories with each other, keep his memory alive. We appreciate everyone’s love and support during this difficult time.

We Entrusted McCormick McClellan's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
