Marvin Harvey Thomas

Marvin Harvey Thomas passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 85, at home with his family by his side. He was born to Harvey and Pearl (Broiler) Thomas on July 5, 1938, and was a lifelong resident of Yuba City, CA. Marvin owned A-1 Body Shop and Towing from 1965, until he retired in 2008. He enjoyed the outdoors. He spent many summers on various lakes with family and friends, boating and waterskiing. He was an avid sportsman and loved to big game hunt and fish! He was a member of the Moose Lodge since 1975 and enjoyed socializing with friends. Marvin loved his family and loved his dogs! Marvin is preceded in death by his father, mother, and a brother, Gerald Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joann (Benham) Thomas; a brother, Harold Thomas; two sons: Tim (Lisa) Thomas, and Brandon (Stacy) Thomas; four grandchildren: Tiffani (Drake) Fusaro, Sarah Thomas (Frances Bacchi), Caitlyn Thomas, and Alex Thomas; and two great-grandchildren: Bristol Fusaro and Atticus Bacchi. A viewing will take place from 9:00-11:00am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 27, 2023, with a service to follow at 11:00am. Marvin will then be laid to rest at Sutter Cemetery. Immediately following the services, we will be celebrating Marvin's life at the Yuba City Moose Lodge.
