Charlotte Caroline Thomas

Obituary Charlotte C. Thomas, 77, of Loveland, passed away September 24, 2011 at her home in Loveland. Charlotte was born on March 1, 1934 to Albert and Lavon (Robb) Hoover in Sidney, Nebraska. The family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1939 where Charlotte grew up and graduated high school in 1952 with secretarial skills. She began her career as a legal secretary with the Attorney General of the State of Wyoming and was married to John Thomas in Cheyenne. They moved to Southern California in the mid 1960's. There she worked as a legal secretary for 35 years, with large law firms. Taking an early retirement, she moved to Loveland in 1994. They later divorced and had no children. Charlotte enjoyed travel and had been to Israel and the Middle East several times with family and friends, the last trip being with a Hal Lindsey tour, accompanied by a cousin, Bill Hoover. She was a member of the Faith Evangelical Church where she was very active until her illness in 2004. She is survived by a sister Frances Kinnison of Cheyenne, a sister Ellen McLees of Loveland, two sisters-in-law, Penny Jo Hoover of Greeley and Sharon Hoover of Fort Collins and several cousins, nieces and nephews who were always very special to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lavon Hoover, a brother Hershel Hoover, a brother Jack Hoover, brother-in-law E. A. Kinnison and three nephews. A funeral service will be conducted in her honor on Tuesday October 4, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Loveland Vineyard Community Church, 900 Josephine Court with burial in Beth-El Cemetery, Cheyenne at 2:30.
