Carol Lucille Hans
August 16th, 1924 - February 26th, 2018
Carol Lucille Hans (93) was born Aug. 16, 1924 in Santa Ana, CA to Alfred and Verna Rush. She died Feb. 26, 2018 after only a short illness at Enloe Medical Center, Chico, CA. Carol led a very happy life as she moved throughout California. She was very versatile and did many things for work over the years. She was a nurse in Southern California for 7 years before moving up to Salinas, where she and her family ran a motel. She moved to Corning, CA, and worked at Olives Incorporated for four years before retiring. After retirement, Carol was encouraged to do crafts. She eventually branched out on her own and dominated the Orland Craft Fair for nearly 37 years, as it grew from a small section of tables at St. Dominique's to the Orland Fairgrounds. Always selling out, her crafts were loved by many. Carol is survived by her son, Dennis Irwin. Dennis and Carol took care of each other throughout the years. She will be sorely missed. All are invited for a visitation and time of memory for Carol, from 3pm-6pm, Sun. Mar. 11 at Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway, Chico.
