Obituary Joseph F. Koenig, 84, of Red Feather Lakes, CO died Saturday July 2, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born November 22, 1926 in Dacono, CO to Frank and Ethel (Bayne) Koenig. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U S Navy where he served in the Pacific Theater during WW II. After service to his country he became a Master Plumber and operated Koenig Plumbing in Eaton and Red Feather Lakes, until his retirement. Joe married Shirley Boyd in Red Feather in 1996. He loved to hunt and fish and was an incredible woodworker, making much of the fine furniture in their home. Joe is survived by his wife Shirley, step-children Taunya Crews, Earl and Randy Boyd. A memorial service is planned for Saturday July 9 at 2 PM at The Chapel in the Pines, Red Feather Lakes, CO.
