Renata "Renee" T. Panfil
March 1st, 1947 - September 9th, 2021
Renee was born March 1, 1947, in St Ingbert Germany to Franz and Anna Huss. She passed away on September 9, 2021, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her only child and daughter, Monica Galli, and her husband, Richard Galli, of Atascadero California. She is also survived by her siblings Helmut Huss of Rimling, France and Monika Nicolaus of Homburg, Germany, and Barbara Scheller of Mandelbachtal, Germany along with her nephew and nieces, and their children. Renee received her Masters degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986 and was an Educator and High School Teacher for over 20 years, with 15 of those in Monterey County. She was a world traveler visiting over 20 countries in her lifetime. An intellectual and an avid reader - she made sure to visit many of the historic sites and castles that she read about to see them in person! She had a zest for life and enjoyed gathering and socializing with friends over a well-cooked meal and some wine in her home. She was a volunteer at the Active Seniors Center and regularly attended Yoga and Zumba classes. She had fun cutting a rug at the American Legion. She also cherished her quiet and solitude and spent many hours gardening and going for walks. If you have a special and joyful memory to share and post, please do so. Her family would be so grateful for the effort. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to one of your favotire charatities in honor of Renee.

We Entrusted Renata Panfil's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
