Johnny "Pops" M. Garcia

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved Johnny M. Garcia "Pops." Pop's received his colorful angel wings at the young age of 37. Pops was born on March 2, 1983 to Johnny and DeeDee Garcia, in Salinas Ca. Pop's is survived by his mother, DeeDee, who loved him dearly. Siblings: Delilah Garcia, Anthony (Elizabeth), David (Jackie) Garcia; his great aunt Maryhelen Gutierrez; aunts’ Margie (Jesse), Rosemary (Steve), Donna (Ralph) and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews. Pop's was preceded in death by his father, Johnny M. Garcia; paternal grandparents Manuel & Betty Garcia; aunt Hopie, Esther, Carol and Uncle Bobby Garcia. Pop's grew up in Salinas, Ca and attended Lincoln Elementary School. At a very young age he was able to fix broken items and make them work like new again. He loved being outdoors, climbing the big avocado tree and, once, he reached the top. He would yell out "To the moon, Alice"! Which would always make his siblings laugh. Pop's was very outspoken, loved to help others, was always right, even when he was wrong. His witty humor will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
