Matthew Clay Rohr
July 12th, 1958 - May 31st, 2022
Matthew Clay Rohr passed away May 31st, 2022. Matt was born July 12th, 1958 to Ron and Judith (O'Rear) Rohr in Monterey, CA. Matt was a graduate of Salinas High School, class of 1976. He was the third generation owner of Matt's Generator Service in Seaside, CA. Matt was a lifetime member of the Salinas Ramblers Motorcycle Club as well as a member of the Carmel Associate Sportsman. Matt's passion from a young age was riding motorcycles. This ranged from dirt track racing, vintage motocross, to off road riding in Clear Creek and Nevada. He also enjoyed shooting clay targets in Trap and Skeet. Matt is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Alec (Julia) and Geena; mother, Judith; sisters, Pam and Cindy; and brother Ronnie. Matt was preceded by his father, Ron. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday August 14th, 12pm at the Sheriff Posse Grounds (395 Old Natividad Rd, Salinas, CA 93902), followed by lunch. All are welcome.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
