Gina Marie Valenzuela
September 21st, 1971 - August 11th, 2022
Gina Marie Valenzuela passed away on August 11, 2022 in Salinas, California after a brief illness. She was 50 years old. Gina was born on September 21, 1971 and has remained in the Salinas/Castroville area where she was born and raised. Gina attended University Park Elementary, El Sausal Middle School and graduated from Alisal High School. Gina worked as a shelter monitor at Community Homeless Solutions. She was an avid Raider's fan, and she also loved the Oakland A's. Her favorite past time was spending time with her son, Shane, and the rest of her family. Gina is survived by her son, Shane Valenzuela; her mother, Sylvia Jimenez Alvarez; her sister, Monica Alvarez; her grandmother, Mercy Jimenez; her niece and nephew, Anissa and Jacob Valenzuela; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ramon Jimenez, Sr. Private services will take place for Gina on August 26th 2022.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
