Richard D. Coffey, 88, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 in Salinas. Richard was born in Picher, OK, August 14, 1934 and has lived in Salinas for the past 86 years. Richard owned and operated RD Coffey Roofing Company for over 40 years in Salinas. Richard graduated from Salinas High School in 1953. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and working on antique cars. Richard served as president for various antique car clubs, and he loved to travel in his cars. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Richard is survived by his high school sweetheart, June Coffey, children, Cheryl (Michael) Sharp, Richard Coffey Jr., and Gerald (Jerri) Coffey. He also leaves a sister, Marva Jean Miller, brother, Bill Coffey, his grand children, Melissa, Angela, Daniel, and Shannon, and his great grand children, Savanna, Justin Logan, Freya, Inara, and Celeste. Funeral Services will be held, Monday, February 20, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM at Echoes From Calvary Church, 1025 Post Dr., Salinas. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas Monday at 2:30 PM.
