Healey Mortuary
Dante Louis Jackson
December 10th, 2001 - June 7th, 2023
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Dante Louis Jackson, who was cherished as a son, brother, family member, and friend. On June 7th, Dante was involved in a car accident that tragically led to his passing. In his short 21 years, he had perfected a smile that radiated warmth and made others feel welcome and appreciated. Dante was known for his infectious personality and inner glow that could light up any room. He had a gift for conversation and made friends with everyone he met. His unwavering faith in God was evident to all who knew him, as he talked about God and had a bible he carried with him from place to place. Dante's parents are Jessica Jackson and Clinton Jackson, and he is survived by his brothers, Clinton "Junior" Jackson and Ronald Joseph Jackson, his sister, Shantel Jackson, as well as his grandparents Catherine Ramirez, Anna and Curtis Johnson, and "many" aunts, uncles, and cousins. Unfortunately, Dante was preceded in death by his grandparent, Vincent Rivas, cousin Dante Camel, and Sean Buford. Dante attended Mission Park Elementary, Washington Middle School, and Salinas High School and was currently enrolled at Hartnell College. He was a natural athlete who excelled in gymnastics and diving. Dante worked at Vesuvios and Monterey Beach House and was an important member of these restaurant families. Our hearts are heavy with grief, and Dante will always be missed. However, we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace and will forever be remembered for his lively spirit and infectious joy. The family will be holding a viewing in his honor on June 23rd from 1 pm to 6 pm at Healey Mortuary in Salinas. The service will occur the following day, June 24th, at 10:30 am, also at Healey Mortuary. Dante's burial will be at Garden of Memories Memorial Park immediately following the service at 1 pm. The family will be hosting a potluck celebration of life in his honor at The Buckeye facility in Toro Park from 2 to 6 pm. Healey Mortuary will graciously accept flowers, and they will be transported to each of the events during the day.

We Entrusted Dante Jackson's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
