Eric Tobias Rodriguez

Eric T. Rodriguez, 47, a lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away on November 11, 2023, in Salinas, CA surrounded by his family. He was born May 24, 1976 in Salinas. He attended Sacred Heart School and Graduated from Palma High School in 1994. Eric was a victim of a hit and run accident in 1998. He sustained major injuries which changed his quality of life. He was well taken care of at home by his family and caregiver Ana Montanes. A big thank you to Dr. Elias Rodriguez, Dr. Robert Quinn and Dr. Jennifer Yu, for the excellent care you provided to Eric. Eric is survived by his mother, Yolanda (Al) Garza; father, Toby (Laura) Rodriguez; sister, Lillian (Richard); brothers: Brandon (Vanessa) and Julian; nephews: Appolo, Eric, Jordan and Adrian; nieces: Devine, Emily and Brayleen; as well as his step-siblings: A.J., Marissa and Liz. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family and friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his sister, Priscilla Rodriguez-Sommer; paternal grandparents Luz and Celia L. Rodriguez, Maternal grandparents Salvador, Sr. and Consuelo Huerta; uncles: Salvador Huerta, Jr., Manuel Huerta, and Felipe Ramirez; aunts: Rosa Flores, Lucia Estrada and Maria Galvan Huerta; cousins: Cynthia Bedolla, Art and Albert Farias, Chris (Jorge) Cervantes, Freddy and Albert Huerta, and Luis U. Duarte. Eric will be dearly missed. We will always remember his big smile and cherish his memory. Friends are invited to a Viewing, Tuesday November 21, 2012 between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road in Salinas. A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 4:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone Street in Salinas.
