Robert (Bob) Aaron Mayo August 22,1936 - October 10, 2020 Bob was a wonderful husband and father. He was a quiet, gentle man. He was born and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, then moved to California as a teenager. He served in the Navy Reserves in 1955. He worked as a printer for many years in San Jose and Santa Clara (Mueller Printing), and that is where he met his wife, Ann Louise LaRocca. They married on May 24, 1959 and were married for 61 years. They enjoyed many camping trips with family and friends. In approximately 1977 on one of their trips visiting friends in Paradise, they decided to move to Paradise, then later moved to Chico for their printing business. He fulfilled a desire to open a print shop of his own in 1978-1997 (PRESS EXPRESS PRINTING) which he and Ann operated for 19 years. He loved the printing business and the challenges of the work. Bob also loved music and played the violin which he started playing as a young child. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he held many callings, but loved the missionary work and sharing the gospel with others. He is preceded in death by his mother Virginia J. Prows, his father Francis McKinley Mayo, and his sister Joanne Lanier. He is survived by his wife Ann, and their three children, David Mayo (Lisa), Julie Mayo, Mark Mayo, and grandson David Mayo, Jr. Arrangements are under the direction of Brusie Funeral Home. A private family visitation will take place at Brusie Funeral Home and a private graveside service will be held at Chico Cemetery this month.
