Gloria Jean Morton
January 24th, 1928 - November 19th, 2023
Gloria Jean Morton (nee McFadden), 95, of Prunedale, California, passed away on November 19, 2023. Born on January 24, 1928, in Flint, Michigan, Gloria was a strong, independent, and business-oriented woman. Gloria is survived by her son, Michael Kerry Morton, her grandchildren, Michael Kristopher Morton and Brandi Jean McCarthy, and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Daly and Dakota McCarthy. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Lawyer. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, William Roy McFadden, her mother, Ailee Elizabeth (Gillette) McFadden, her two sons, (Punky) Karl Renold Morton III and Gregory William Morton, and her sister, Deanna Behrens. Gloria graduated from high school at the age of 16 and went on to pursue higher education at Hartnell College. She had a successful career as a real estate broker from 1970 to 2023. Gloria had a passion for raising, breeding, and showing Paso Fino and Thoroughbred racehorses. She also enjoyed traveling the world. At her request, no services will be held in Gloria's memory. However, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honor. She was laid to rest with her family at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
