September 28th, 1961 - April 6th, 2024
George Morales, of Salinas passed away Saturday, April 6,2024. He was born September 28, 1961 in Salinas, CA. He was a lifelong resident of Prunedale, CA. He was most recently employed as Manager at Valley Valves and Pumps but throughout his life he was known as a gifted and incredibly hard-working problem solver who could fix anything, build anything, or find a way to make just about anything work. He is survived by his Father, Ernesto. His brother, Fred. His sisters; Elsie, Gloria (Keltner), Tina (Oxford) Barbara (Murray) Sandra (Banuelos). He is also survived by nieces Sondra, Winter, Telisa and Jenna, and nephews Richard, Andy, Nick, Jason and Jack, plus numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Baca Morales. He leaves behind many friends who dearly loved him. George was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. If someone needed help, he was always there, no matter what. George will be missed by many family, friends, and loved ones who were fortunate enough to know him and benefit, in some way, large or small, from George’s generosity and kindness. Visitation with family will be on Tuesday, April 16th from 12-5 PM at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 17 th at 11:00 AM, at Healey Mortuary. Graveside Services will follow at the Queen of Heaven in Prunedale, followed by a Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers please tell someone today how much you appreciate and care for them, or help someone in need in anyway that you are able – just as George would do.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
