William "Bill" Neil Plott
November 8th, 1929 - April 21st, 2021
William Neil "Bill" Plott Bill passed away, April 21st at the age of 91 surrounded by his family. Bill was very dedicated to his family and loved helping others. He was a courageous man, with a huge heart for everyone. His quick wit would always bring a smile to all he met. Bill was born in San Luis Obispo, California November 8, 1929 to Bradford and Ima Plott. In 1937 his parents moved the family to Orland, California and eventually to Vina, California. Bill attended Los Molinas high school where he met his lifelong sweetheart, Betty Tracy. Bill graduated in 1948 and married Betty, June 20, 1949. They were inseparable for 71 years. Bill loved to go deer hunting and camping with family as much as he could. Bill managed the Sterling lumber co. in Willows, Ca. It was here he discovered his love of lumber and the building industry. He also worked for Meeks, Payless, and Longfellow lumber. After a short retirement, he enjoyed working for Gino's appliance and Wood Brothers carpet and finally retired for good at the age of 74. His love of building produced playhouses for his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He found time to build birdhouses for many to enjoy. Bill is survived by his wife Betty, daughters Dolores (David) Cornett, Connie (Robert) Kirkman, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, sister Sharon Williams and brother Kent Plott who recently preceded him in death. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations and contributions can be made to Enloe Cancer Center.
