Brenda Elizabeth Rader-Nieves
January 13th, 1977 - February 28th, 2016
Brenda Elizabeth Rader was born on January 13th, 1977 at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA. She is the 3rd child to Bernard and Kathryn Rader. Brenda’s mother and father knew immediately that she was a precocious and yet unique child, and was a faithful sibling and playmate to her brother and sister. Brenda put her faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. She was a graduate of Fair Havens Christian High School in Spring Valley. Brenda went off to Christian college and attended her first year at Crown College in Powell, TN, and then she transferred during second year to West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA. After college, Brenda worked in customer service, and while working at Jerome’s she met her future husband and love of her life, Robert. They were married December of 2001. Three years after Brenda and Robert married, both would begin one of the most difficult, yet rewarding times of their lives, Parenthood. Brenda became pregnant and had some major complications with the pregnancy. She was admitted to the hospital and was placed on mandatory bed rest at 20 weeks into her pregnancy. At 23 weeks and 2 days their first child Kathryn “Katie” Marvella (11) was born in September 2004. Katie was a micro-preemie born and she weighed 1 pound 1 ounce. Brenda loved to tell the story of their first born, because it was one of the greatest blessings and moments of faith for her. Brenda wanted other people to see that God could make a blessing out of similar situations, and she often reached out to help other mothers of micro-preemie’s. Despite the odds and obstacles, and by the grace and hand of God, Katie, the miracle baby, is now 11 years old. Their second child, Roberto “Bobby” Zacharias (8) was born in December of 2007. Their third child, Cidelo “Cido” Bernard (4) affectionately known as “Cido” was born in September of 2011. Brenda became a full time mom and homemaker since 2006. Brenda loved to spend time with her husband and children, and she loved her family very much. Brenda passed away from this earth into God’s arms on Sunday, February 28th, 2016 at Kaiser Zion hospital in San Diego California. Brenda is survived by her husband Robert; daughter Katie; son Bobby; son Cido; mother Kathryn Rader; father Bernard Rader; sister Anita Joyner; and brother Eric Rader. II Corinthians 5:6-8 “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
