Serena Rebecca Rhoades-Gomes

Serena Rebecca Rhoades-Gomes passed away December 20, 2022, in Ione, CA at the age of 72 years old. She was born in Redding, CA on January 13, 1950, a daughter of Clara Ruth (Gries) and the late Walter Nelson Rhoades. Serena is survived by her husband of 20 years, Gilbert Paul Gomes of Ione, CA; two daughters, Tina, wife of John Kohler-Seever of Yerrington, NV and Danielle, wife of Ben Crocker of Jackson, CA; a brother, Larry, husband of Bette Rhoades of Ione, CA; She is also survived by grandchildren, Tanner, and Tanielle Wolin; great grandchild, Xavier Silva. She is preceded in death by her brother, Harry. Serena graduated from Jackson High School in 1969 and worked in several industries such as babysitting, postal service and recently bookkeeping for 8 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, and most of all loved her grandkids. A private memorial service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023.
