Irma Emilia Saunders
October 9th, 1930 - October 24th, 2021
Irma Emelia Saunders passed away peacefully on October 24, 2021, at the age of 91. Irma was a loving wife, mother, aunt, and twin sister. She was born in San Jose & started her early career there although she and her family have called Amador County their home for most of their lives. Irma and her husband were small business owners in Martell for many years & were active community members. She will most be remembered for her sunny disposition, her kindness, her love of animals, and most of all, her playfulness with all generations of our family. Irma is survived by her son, Eugene Saunders, and his wife Eileen, her nephew Jim Piazza and his wife Linda & her great-niece/nephews, Amanda, Tyler, and Dan. Irma is preceded in death by her loving husband Gene Saunders and her twin sister Ingrid. A graveside will take place at Sunset View Cemetery, Jackson, CA, 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
