Margie Thomas passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in Manteca, CA at the age of 89 years old. She was born July 21, 1932, in Mandan, ND to her parents, Michael and Katherine (Kanski) Slobodian. Margie moved to Santa Clara, CA in 1948 where she met Donald Thomas and married in 1950. They were together for 59 happy years, starting their lives in San Jose and eventually settling in Pine Grove. Until retirement, she enjoyed working in the medical field doing administrative work. She enjoyed art and crafts, quilting, embroidery, and antiques. After her husband’s passing, she moved to Manteca to be closer to her kids and grandchildren. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Donelle and her husband John Smith, Gary Thomas, and daughter in law, Lisa as well as her grandchildren, Amanda, Cory, Joshua, Payton, Eric, and Jaimie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald. A graveside service will take place at Sunset View Cemetery on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 1:00 P.M.
