Stephanie Skinner

Stephanie Skinner passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 43 years old. She was born September 9, 1977 in Fairfield, CA. Stephanie graduated from Amador High School and married Marshall Skinner on March 13th, 1995. They had two beautiful boys, Keith and Hunter Skinner. Stephanie worked with her husband for 23 years at Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve as the office manager. They lost their son Hunter in 2016 to suicide. Stephanie was her family’s guiding light through their darkest times. She devoted her life to bringing awareness to suicide and the destruction it brings to family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of both Stephanie and Hunter. Stephanie is survived by her husband, Marshall Skinner of Ione, CA; son, Keith Skinner of Ione, CA; mother, Margie Gold of Jackson, CA; grandmother, Barbara Usedom of Jackson, CA; brother, David Clays of Ione, CA; brother in law, Matt (Teresa) Skinner of Ione, CA; father and mother in-law, Larry and Joyce Skinner of Ione, CA; sister in law, Laura Fearn of Ione, CA; nieces and nephews, Alexis and Tyler Clays, Aeriel and Aeric Skinner, Dakota Fearn, David and Tyler Abrams. She is preceded in death by her son, Hunter Skinner. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson. Interment in the Garden of Golden Memories at Sunset View Cemetery will be private. A celebration of life for Stephanie will be held on May 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve, 2951 Curran Rd Ione, Ca 95640.
