Patricia Yates

Patricia (Marney) Yates passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the age of 62 years. Patricia was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1958, a daughter of Gerald and Mary (Donatelli) Marney. Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Jessica and Kathryn; and her siblings, Camilla, Sandra, Gregory, and Gerald. The kitchen is where Patricia spent most of her life. She loved to be over a stove, feeding those she cared about most. Her daughters have fond memories of making all sorts of cookies together for family and friends during the holidays; chocolate chip, M&M, sugar, and pizzelles. Being Italian, she always had a container of homemade spaghetti sauce on hand. People knew if they showed up to her Ione home, they would be treated to a delicious feast. Patricia had an extremely generous heart and always sought to help others. Anyone that knew her, knew they could count on her, whether it was to cook at a school fundraising event, bring snacks to her daughters soccer games and swim meets, be the parent driver for her daughters and friends, participate in the Race for the Cure to help raise money for breast cancer, or simply listen. She would do anything and everything she could to do good for others. She was known as Patricia, Pat, Patty, Sister, BFF, Moonie, Friend, and a Mother, tremendously proud of her two girls. Unfortunately, services at this time have been postponed due to COVID-19. Family and friends will be invited to a Celebration of Life at a later date.
