John Randolph Sauer

John Randolph Sauer, of Pioneer, CA, passed away at the age of 70 on Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was born in Compton, CA on August 28th, 1949, to the late Mauna-Loa (Sutter) and Roy Sauer. John grew up in Whittier, CA. He graduated from Whittier High School in 1967, and immediately thereafter, started a career in machinery sales. In 1993, John started his own business, J Sauer Machinery Sales. In 2009, after forty-seven years in the Machinery Sales business, John became semi-retired when he relocated from the Bay Area to his home in Pioneer, CA, where he enjoyed the outdoors; frequently spending his time fishing with his dogs Stormie and Tia. John is survived by his dog, Tia, daughters, Cheri Sauer Mosher, of PA, Tamara R. Alfonso, of OR, and Jennifer A. Taylor, of Tracy, CA; sons John Sauer Jr. of OR, James R Sauer of WA, and Steven M. Sauer of Washington; twenty-three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to stop by John’s favorite place, Lake Tabeaud, to remember and celebrate his way of life; never angry, always forgiving and seeing the good in all people. While you are there, enjoy the solitude and perhaps meet one of John’s many friends that he often spent his time with. A memorial service is planned for Saturday January 18, 2020 from 1:30pm – 4:30pm at Sierra Baptist Church, 26355 Buckhorn Ridge Road, Pioneer, CA 95666.
